The Winnah! See Angling Trade magazine Dec. issue
American Angler Magazine feature in next issue!
As if Elusive Trout weren’t launched high enough into the atmosphere by the Field & Stream website post, this’ll kick us up another mile or two – I got a call from the editor of the Headwaters section of American Angler magazine to be featured in their next print issue!
The Headwaters article features artists that have fly fisher folk appeal and if all goes as stated, you should see me in the next issue. December, I believe.
It’s all very exciting getting this rolling and getting noticed on a national level! American Angler Website
Yes, it says Par Four Trout

2011 in Production-6 more illustrations to go
It’s been 9 months, and this new website baby is finally breathing on it’s own. I’m selling calendars, prints and cards on my site at either http://www.elusivetrout.com/ OR http://www.hybrid-arts.com/. Look for Elusive Trout in Spokane at Aunties Books, the MAC gift shop, and the Tin Man Gallery on Garland Street. A great selection of calendars and cards can also be found in Eastern Oregon at Bella in Baker City. I will be selling through the holidays for 2010 and designing 12 new trout for 2011. Keep your eyes open for T-Shirts and other goodies in the near future. Stay tuned!
Fancy Galleries not interested. But intrigued.
Couer d’Alene, Idaho. Spent the morning visiting the high end galleries at the resort in the middle of town. While they liked the trout, most didn’t want to carry anything other than original art from noted painters. But I did get some valid referrals to local gift shops and Orvis’ address. Will follow up with owner of Simply Northwest (referral from the NAWBO meeting) and maybe come up with some merchandising ideas with/for them.
Licensing show in NY
Thank you Jim Roszel for your great information on the Surtex show in NY. Unfortunately, it’s THIS weekend which leaves us plenty of time to get ready for next year! According to the write up this show is attended by 94% of all reps, licensees and new artists each year and represent textiles, gifts, home decor, and lots more industries. Those are pretty good stats. It’s first come first served and past exhibitors get first preference on available booths, which are furnished by the show. So sign up early!
